monday change of plans
Hi everyone, I went to clinic on monday thinking I would get to go home…
well that didn’t work out. I had some “bugs” hiding out in my central line and when they flushed it take my am labs, well the bugs went everywhere. I took to shaking like I’ve never done before. I didn’t actually get a fever but they wisked me off to the infusion center and started me on some high powered IV antibiotics. I was admitted to the 8th floor by the afternoon, an here I am.
They are planning on removing this central line today or tomorrow. I will just have a temporary peripheral line in the mean time. They said I will probably be here until friday. They need to identify the “bugs” so I can get the proper antibiotics. They are also wanting my blood counts to get more normal so there is no concern that I will need a transfusion. Anyway, here I am. All is well and I am getting better.

Hi !!! I am so glad that they found the bugs before you went home. You get the best care there and they know you so well. That means that God is looking out for you each and every minute.I will claim the healing for you in the name of Jesus, and give Him all the honor and glory for it. I felt such a need to pray for you today and your mom and dad,put you all under protection.I don’t know why but I am sure that the Lord does, because I felt at peace in my spirit. I love you guys,God will give you the strength you need and the wisdom. Just remember to rest when you can and be selfish about your needs. Love ya Auntie M
Hi Karen!
I’m glad, too, that they caught the bugs while you were still there! Yes, it’s a delay in getting you home but it is worth it, IMO. Here’s hoping they identify the bugs right away so you can get on the right antibiotics.
I was actually thinking about you last night wondering if you were home but didn’t get a chance to call because I was helping Joshua study for a test.
If you do get out Friday, will that be to come home or will they want you to stay close by for a bit longer?
As always, thinking of you and praying for you, girlfriend!
Love,
Tina
Sorry about your bugs, Sweetie. The bugs are in good company, but they are not the company we want for you! It is a blessing they were found before you left. Hope that this is over soon for you. It is a relief to know that you are in such good hands. I know they will take good care of you because you are such a wonderful little person — every one loves you.
Your positive attitude is awesome. Another exceptional quality of our Karen. Continue to keep that pretty chin up, and we look forward to seeing you when you get home. God Bless.
Love you Lots,
Gale
