Wednesday at clinic
Good morning everyone,
we are here at Shands early today, hoping for a shorter day. We were here until 4pm on Monday, waiting on labs and then of course more platelets. I have been very weak Monday and Tuesday, but feel better today. I am hoping that my labs are all much better today and I can come home soon. They should have the new plan for December today…. we shall see. It is so nice to read all your comments. I love hearing from you guys. I will have more updates soon.
love karen
Hello Karen, I am so happy you are feeling better today. I pray your strength and positive attitude stays with you today and always. I just want to let you know I am thinking and praying for you. I hope you have a good day and I will talk to you real soon. With all my love, Michele
Hey girl…I haven’t forgotten about you…I am sorry that I haven’t been able to call. The nursing is down to the wire with three more tests to go, two huge clinical drawing papers, and two finals. I am very stressed! I hope you are well. I love you and need to hear from you guys with updates as much as you can. Let me know…call and leave a message. I don’t always have time to call as I rush from here to there with clinicals, study groups, and classes. Please keep me up to date. Have they found a bone marrow match for you yet? I love you…May God bless and keep you. Your loving sister, Gin
Dear Karen,
We Griffins are praying for you and your sweet parents. Janice Turner told me about KarensDay.com, and I was glad to be able to find the most recent updates there.
I just read about those monuments in the Jordan the other day while reading an enjoyable novel about Rahab. You probably know that she was the harlot who lived in Jericho, which was where the Israelites were going when they crossed the Jordan. I was telling our 4 year old granddaughter over T’giving about how Rahab, a sinful woman, had believed with all her heart what little she knew about God–and God honored that. Her memorial is still standing in Scripture in Hebrews 11 and James (or Peter?)–that she was a woman of faith! (And was honored to be the grandmother of King David and the great, great, great, . . . grandmother of the Lord Jesus!) Samara (granddaughter) really wanted to know, and was glad to hear, that Rahab will be in heaven. (She will probably be naming one of her dolls–her orphans– Rahab now!)
I am so glad that you seem to be handling all of this difficulty with a measure of grace. This is not wasted time; God is working. Hold on and keep resting, trusting.
Please give our love to Ken and Madelyn.
Lydia (and Ivan) Griffin
Glad you are feeling better ! May you stay well and come home soon
