Karen's Day at Shands

Karen wanted a place for family and friends to be able to see how she is doing each day at Shands. This is how she is making that happen.

monday nite, Gainesville tomorrow

January18

No amount of time at home would be enough.  There are still so many people here I would love to see.  And many more things I would love to do.   I am so thankful for my friends, and I want you to know that even if I did not get to see you this time, you are in my heart and thoughts.  I have really focused on spending this time with Jacob and Dylan.  I miss them so much when I am gone and my time away has been a hard adjustment for us.  Their Dad is amazing and is doing a really good job creating stability for them.  I can’t imagine what it must be like to not have your mom except via phone or email…I can’t wait for a  happy ending.  We will continue to pray and thank God for the little things.  Life is good and we will make it through.

See you in Gainesville

From our standpoint, even though Karen is doing well on her consolidations, it gets harder each time to leave home and loved ones and start this process over again. Continue with your prayers as they keep us strong.

    Hi Dear One,
Think of you so often and continue to be amazed at your strength and courage. You re an inspiration to us all. I know your family misses you (as do your friends). You are such a special person and joy to be around, how could we not miss you.
Sorry about Don’s plight at the moment. I know how great he is to and for you. This is difficult for both of you, but I know he is counting to days until the weekend. Glad your loving parents are able and so willing to be there for you. They, as I, know that you are a deserving person. We are happy to be a part of your life, and we are so proud of you. Will be talking to you soon.
    Love you very much, Gale
